OVERVIEW

MODELING

Learn step-by-step how to model a Lego character in Maya. You can then use this base model to construct other Lego characters. This process is shown in the bonus content where we will add onto the base model to make a Lego Batman. Even if you are a beginner to the program this training will be easy to follow.

TEXTURING

After the modeling stage is complete you will learn how to create your own Lego textures and how to apply them to the model. Additionally, included in the series are tons of free textures you can use if you do not want to make your own.

RIGGING

Rigging is the process that gets the model ready for animation. Once the textures are applied we will go through the steps of rigging the model and face using joints, ik/fk controls, and blend shapes.

ANIMATION

Learn how to use the rig we created  to animate a walk cycle. Also, learn how to use blend shapes to lip sync the mouth. By the end of this training you will have all the knowledge and information you need to start creating your own Lego shorts.
